The Sirius is an electric hurdy-gurdy that offers revolutionary new opportunities. Despite its low number of only three strings, it provides the basis for a completely new and innovative way of playing the hurdy-gurdy:

The drone and trumpet string can be transposed in semitone steps with the assistance of electronic components. This is possible over several octaves by using a foot pedal, so that all the key changes are possible while playing.
There is no significant time delay for any of the pitches.

The melody string/chanterelle can be played in four voices by using harmonisation which can be freely selected over a range of four octaves.

The source for this is always the original hurdy-gurdy sound, without MIDI alienation.

Another innovation of the Sirius hurdy-gurdy is its modular construction: Only a few steps are needed to change the solid wooden soundbody for modifying the sound characteristics, as well as the tangent box for using different sizes/lengths.
